2. What this policy covers

This notice covers the public pages of jalkiasennushissit.fi, assessment requests, the project status page, and the subscription and feedback forms on resident notice pages.

For information about data processing in the project service that requires sign-in, contact the controller using the details above.

3. What we collect

An assessment request stores the building address, number of stairwells, email address and any phone number you provide. If you select an address suggestion, we also store the building coordinates.

We use these details to answer your request and prepare a quote. The legal basis is steps taken to enter into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

A notice subscription stores your name, email address and optional phone number to deliver project notices. You can ask us to end your subscription by contacting us.

The feedback form stores your name, message and optional reply email address to handle your feedback. Network requests made by the pages and Google services are described in sections 4–6.

3b. Chat, AI assistant and staff replies

When you write in the chat, we store your messages, the replies and any optional address you give. Replies come first from an AI assistant drawing on this site and official sources such as Varke's guidance. Our staff can see conversations and may reply themselves, sometimes drafting with the help of AI. Messages produced by AI are labelled. The chat isn't staffed around the clock, so a staff reply may take a while. If no one is available, you can leave an email address or phone number so we can get back to you; we use it only to answer your question. Use the assessment form for a site survey. We use the data to answer you and improve the service, on the basis of legitimate interest. Please don't enter sensitive information in the chat — conversations are stored.

4. Cookies and visitor measurement

Google Analytics code loads when public marketing pages open. It does not load on project status or resident notice pages. Cookieless measurement messages may be sent to Google before you choose and after you decline cookies. Analytics cookie storage is enabled only after acceptance.

Advertising storage and personalisation are disabled. The cookie choice concerns analytics; address lookup and maps operate separately as described in section 5.

Your choice is saved in browser local storage for 12 months. You can change it using Cookie settings in the footer.

5. Google Maps and maps

Pages with address lookup load Google Maps and Places when the page opens. These features do not depend on accepting analytics cookies. Google receives your IP address and browser information when its services load.

The address you type is sent to Google for suggestions before the form is submitted. You can still enter an address manually if suggestions are unavailable.

The project status page automatically loads a Google map when location data is available. The map request sends the building coordinates and browser request information to Google.

6. Services we use

• Cloudflare — hosting, storage and sending the form notifications.
• Google Maps and Google Places — address lookup, see section 5.
• Google Analytics — visitor measurement and cookie choices, see section 4.

Google may process data outside the EU. Transfers rely on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Cloudflare also provides chat storage, the real-time connection and AI model execution (Workers AI).

7. How long we keep it

We keep a quote request for as long as handling it, and any resulting job, requires. Records that lead to invoicing are kept for the period Finnish accounting law requires.

We keep chat conversations for as long as providing the service requires. We review the need annually and delete unnecessary conversations. You can request deletion of your conversation.

8. Your rights

You have the right to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to have it transferred to another controller, and to withdraw your consent at any time.
